The unique combination of skills within Claremont Insurance Services' management team enable us to better understand the needs of our customers and develop successful business solutions for our partners. Claremont's core management team collectively holds more than half a century of industry experience. This experience has provided Claremont with the ability to leverage connections in carrier organizations and brokerages throughout the Greater Bay Area. Claremont prides itself on the knowledge our staff brings to the table. All Broker Field Representatives are well trained, licensed individuals with an average 8 years of industry experience. All staff members participate in training on a regular basis. Broker Service Representatives are equally well trained and consistently demonstrate exceptional skills and knowledge of carrier products as well as the services which Claremont provides. Mr. Robert B. Traynor
Chairman Claremont Business Group, Inc. Bob Traynor has nearly forty years experience of successful sales, marketing, and management responsibilities. As Senior Vice President of Marketing at Blue Cross of California he directed a sales and marketing organization that produced nearly $1 billion in annual premium. Throughout his career with Blue Cross, the Blue Cross Association consistently recognized the company through awards for its innovation and market share growth. Bob served on the association's National Marketing Committee and on the testing board and faculty of the Certified Health Consultant program at Purdue University. Bob was active in developing and launching the IPA/HMO and Preferred Provider industries as well as taking the lead responsibility for the creation and market introduction for projects that would eventually become TakeCare, Lifeguard, and Foundation Health Plan HMO’s. He was also responsible for the sales strategy behind the launch of Prudent Buyer (Blue Cross' preferred provider organization). Bob served as Blue Cross’ representative on the board of directors of TakeCare Corporation and life insurance subsidiary, California Insurance Marketing Services, Inc. In 1985 Bob founded Creekside Consulting Co., a marketing and management consulting service. Creekside consulted on the design and implementation of several successful statewide and national specialty managed care organizations. In 1989, Creekside became Claremont Business Group Inc. Currently, the Claremont family of companies includes Claremont Insurance Services, Claremont Behavioral Health, Montclare Technology Partners and Townsend Technology. Bob was educated at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and completed the Executive Program at the Graduate School of Business, University of Michigan.
Michael Traynor
President Claremont Insurance Services Michael Traynor has been with Claremont Insurance Services since 1993 as one of its founding members. During his career with Claremont he has held a number of positions including Sales Representative, Operations Manager, and Vice President. As Claremont’s technology leader, Michael designed and installed the company’s information management system, designed and managed Claremont’s Web Site and created the concept for PRISM - Claremont’s interactive, online broker service. Prior to joining Claremont, Michael spent ten years in the printing and advertising industry where he worked for regional and national advertising firms in Northern California. Michael is a member of the Delta Dental Small Business Advantage Advisory Committee. He received his B.A. degree from San Francisco State University
John Bobincheck
Vice President of Sales Claremont Insurance Services With more than 19 years experience in sales management, John brings a wealth of knowledge to Claremont. For the past four years, he held the position of Business Development at Think HR, an HR out-sourcing company dedicated to servicing agencies and brokers in the Bay Area. Prior to this, John led the strategic development and marketing teams at TriNet (a national PEO). This helped him develop his PEO and HRO expertise. He also served as Director of Marketing for Better Homes Realty, Director of Marketing for Sutter Mortgage Corporation and Quality Control Supervisor for Pacific Volt Information Systems. John’s extensive experience and service-oriented approach to sales makes him an excellent leader for Claremont’s sales team.

Kathleen Vaillancourt
Kathleen has been a vital part of the Claremont sales team since 2002. With over 30 years of extensive experience in the benefits insurance industry, she has worked as both a broker and a carrier representative for leading insurance companies such as Aetna, CIGNA, and Highmark Life & Casualty. Kathleen has built strong relationships in the broker community, and has recently served as the President of the Peninsula Chapter of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and is an active member of the Silicon Valley Association of Health Underwriters (SVAHU) and the Northern California Employee Benefits Council (NCEBC).
Cheryl Lombardi, CEBS
Cheryl began her career in the employee benefits industry in 1989, and has been an integral part of the Claremont sales team for over 7 years. She has a wealth of experience in both the insurance and brokerage sides of the business. Prior to joining Claremont, Cheryl’s focus was in the large group arena. She worked for companies like Coopers & Lybrand and Northwestern National Insurance Company, before joining the brokerage community to work for Jardine Insurance, Barney & Barney in San Diego, and later USI Consulting Group. Cheryl is an active member in both the North Coast and Golden Gate Associations of Health Underwriters, and holds a Masters of Business Administration from California State University in Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley.
Rita Flynn
Rita joined the Claremont sales team in 2005, bringing over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her extensive knowledge of mid-market and small group insurance is a direct result of the many years she spent working as a representative for leading health insurance carriers, such as Aetna and PacifiCare. She is actively involved with a number of the Health Insurance Associations, such as the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and has served as a board member for the Golden Gate Association of Health Underwriters (GGAHU). With Rita’s industry expertise and commitment to superior service, she is dedicated to providing her brokers with the solutions they need to grow their business.
