Clear Advantage 51-125 PPO Rates Reduced

-- Health Net's Small Business Group has announced their rates for August 1, 2003. These are minimal increases that apply across all northern California products.

Health Net underwriting has extended the cut-off date of new group submission for July cases to Tuesday, July 15. Be sure to submit your groups to Claremont by noon, Tuesday.

Health Net's PPO Network is Strong, and Growing

--Employees want physician choice and Health Net's PPO network delivers. The PPO network in California now offers 48,751 physicians and 318 hospitals. And Health Net's national network is now more appealing than ever with the addition of Beech Street providers outside of California. Health Net's HMO network in California is also impressive making their products especially attractive to small groups. As of last month, HMO contracts were held with 321 hospitals and 33,595 physicians (22,371 specialists and 11,224 primary care physicians).



Plan Designs Meet Many Needs

 

Health Net is one of the largest and most respected health care companies in California and offers numerous plans to meet the varying needs of small employers. Multiple plan designs with an assortment of benefit options provide choice to your customers:


  • Health Maintenance Organization (HMO);

  • Elect Open Access (EOA) - includes self-referral option to Health Net PPO providers;

  • Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) - in-network deductibles ranging from no deductible to $750;

  • Select 3-Tier Point-of-Service - includes HMO, PPO and open network benefits;

  • Flex Net fee-for-service for out-of-state members without Beech Street PPO network access;

  • Salud con Health Net HMO for members who want health coverage on both sides of the border, Los Angeles County and Mexico;

  • Allied lines including Life, Dental and Vision plans

In addition, Health Net now offers even more flexibility with their new Choice Advantage plan combinations for groups of 10 to 50 employees and for larger groups of 51 to 125 employees through Clear Advantage.


Choice Advantage 80 and Choice Advantage 100

-- These are two new Defined-Contribution Packages that deliver choice, access and flexibility JUST for small business. With a minimum of 10 enrolled employees, these products are designed for economy.

Choice – Minimum defined contribution of $80 or $100 per month, or 50% of the employee-only premium. Choose from a variety of Health Net plans including PPOs, HMOs and ELECT Open Access.

New Online Report Compares California Hospitals
This innovative tool takes just seconds to produce a personalized report that compares hospitals for specific medical procedures. State and Federal health data are used to help members research a hospital’s past experience relating to a particular procedure. To view the new report, go to www.health.net, click on “California”, then select “Hospital Comparison Report”.

Treatment Guidelines Available Online
Health Net members can now access in-depth medical information that they might want to discuss with their physician or specialist. Treatment guidelines for doctors, as well as other useful care and treatment information is available at www.health.net. Click on “California”, sign-in as a member and then select “EBM Solutions”.


Drug Formulary Changes
