Overview
MetLife

MetLife is one of the largest and most widely recognized life insurance companies in the United States, with more than 140 years experience in the insurance business and 90 years in the group benefits business. As an industry leader, MetLife sets itself apart by offering a broad range of high quality products and services that are designed, priced, and administered to fit the specialized needs of employers with 2 to 499 employees.

MetLife’s Small Group product portfolio includes:

Group Dental
MetLife’s Preferred Dentist Program (PDP) is one of the largest networks in the country. It includes more than 125,000 DPPO participating dental locations (over 21,600 in California) and 11,000 DHMO participating dental locations (over 5,800 in California), as well as 29,000 Specialty locations.  Participating dentists agree to accept fees that are typically 10% to 35% below community average charges, so employees’ out-of-pocket costs are generally lower. All MetLife dental plans allow employees to select any dentist in-network or out-of-network at the time of treatment, and do not require referrals to see a specialist.

Employers who offer MetLife dental benefit plans will receive a vision discount program for their employees. The Vision Savings Eyecare Program (VSEP) is available through a special arrangement with EyeMed Vision and offers valuable discounts on eyecare (including LASIK) at no cost to employees.

Group Term Life Products
Offer your clients a fundamental part of their overall benefits program with basic, supplemental, and dependent term life insurance solutions that uniquely address the needs of employers, employees and beneficiaries. MetLife’s permanent life insurance products – Group Variable Life and Group Universal Life, provide life insurance with a cash fund option that earns interest or gains on a tax-deferred basis.

Group Disability Products
MetLife provides a variety of products for group disability coverage that include, short term (STD) and long term disability (LTD), salary continuance, LTD reserve buy-outs, supplemental individual disability income insurance, and return-to-work incentives.  Both long term and short term disability coverage is available to groups of 2-499.

Group Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Products
