Humana announced three updates to improve your sales and your pocketbook — a broker bonus, increased GI limits on life plans, and a stronger EAP benefit. Here’s what you need to know.
Humana’s Dental Bundling Bonus is back for June 1 – October 31, 2026, for new groups with 10–299 enrolled.
Place a new Humana dental plan with at least one additional line of coverage (vision, life, or disability) with the same employer and same effective date to qualify. The more lines placed with the group, the more your bonus grows. Download the Broker Bundling Bonus Flyer.
Employee GI amounts start at $50,000 for a group of 2-4 eligible, and increase to $100,000 for a group of 5-9 eligible. Starting at 5 eligible, the group may offer employee voluntary life with GI amount of $50,000. Starting at 10+ eligible, groups may also add spouse voluntary coverage. Humana’s revised life plans are available for groups with May 1, 2026 effective dates and beyond.
Download the flyer for full details and GI amounts.

Competitive rates get attention, but Health Net’s underwriting flexibility might be the real reason to bring this solution to your clients.
If Health Net hasn’t been top of mind for your groups, it’s worth a second look. Beyond competitive pricing, Health Net matches the major carriers on network breadth — so disruption risk is low. Out-of-state employees plug into the Cigna network for solid coverage, and $0 deductible HMO plans mean first-dollar benefits from day one.
The story gets even better when you look at their Simplified Underwriting Program. Relaxed paperwork requirements make placement faster and easier — two tracks cover nearly every group scenario you’ll encounter.

Employee Navigator hosted a webinar on March 31, 2025, to share an update on the planned migration of groups from the Ease platform to Employee Navigator. Here are the key takeaways:
Starting January 1, 2027, no new companies can be added to Ease. The “Add Company” function will be disabled for all users.
On July 1, 2027, any groups still remaining on Ease will be moved to “Read Only” status. To avoid disruption, groups should be migrated to Employee Navigator before that date. Once in Read Only status:
Employee Navigator is beginning the process of transitioning brokers with an Ease subscription to an Employee Navigator contract, though the process is expected to take up to six months to complete.
In the meantime, brokers with an active Ease subscription can request a free Employee Navigator subscription to use alongside their current one, which is a great way to start exploring the platform at your own pace. Email success@ease.com to get started.
Once you have access, here are the suggested steps to get up familiar with the platform:
As with any transition like this, there are still details being worked out. Here’s what we know so far:
We’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available. In the meantime, if you have questions about the transition or need help getting started with Employee Navigator, reach out to Employee Navigator at info@employeenavigator.com or 301-583-5180. Effective February 1, 2026, Community Medical Centers (CMC) facilities are no longer part of Blue Shield of California’s network. CMC’s affiliated PPO group, Community Health Partners (CHP), continues to serve a limited number of PPO members; however, some CHP providers may no longer accept Blue Shield members due to their out-of-network status.
Members enrolled in a Blue Shield PPO plan may choose to receive care from non-contracted providers, but out-of-pocket costs could be higher depending on plan design and any required prior authorization. Benefit details and cost-sharing responsibilities can be found in the member’s Evidence of Coverage (EOC).
Members who were in an active course of treatment with a CHP provider prior to February 1, 2026, may be eligible to continue receiving care at in-network benefit levels. Eligibility is determined through Blue Shield’s established Continuity of Care policy, and members must submit a request for consideration.
Members needing emergency services should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately, even if the hospital is out of network. Emergency services are covered according to the member’s plan benefits.
Members with questions should contact Blue Shield Customer Service using the number on the back of their member ID card.
