Major provisions in the Department of Labor’s June 2018 final rule liberalizing the requirements for establishing Association Health Plans (AHPs) were put on hold last week. A District of Columbia judge found that key elements of the final rule were inconsistent with existing law. For now, no new AHP’s may be created and AHP’s established since the final rule went effective, may not be valid. Learn more.
