Borrowers, especially small businesses, who received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) may be ready to apply for forgiveness, but according to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), final program guidance from the SBA and U.S. Treasury is not available.
