A proposed law, written to control healthcare costs in California, has been shelved, at least until 2019.

AB 3087, The Health Care Price Relief Act, a bill that would give a state-appointed board the right to set pricing for all medical services was widely opposed by providers and insurers (for more about AB 3087, see our Healthcare Reform Article). The bill’s author plans to reintroduce the bill next year.
