UnitedHealth Group has announced it will provide over $1.5 billion to customers in response to COVID-19.
The majority of the financial relief is being provided to commercial fully insured customers. Depending on the plan, 5% to 20% credits will be applied to premium billings received by customers in June. Details for California Small Group customers are expected shortly.
Financial relief is also being provided to Medicare Advantage, AARP Medicare Supplement, and Medicaid customers.
UnitedHealthcare is offering a rate pass for groups (2-499 employees) with renewal dates between May 1, and September 30, 2020 on specialty lines of coverage.

Supplemental Health: Critical Illness, Accident Protection, and Hospital Indemnity
Due to retroactive adjustments for earlier coverage months, groups with May through July renewals may see a lower rate on their monthly invoice than indicated on their renewal statement. Contact us for more information.
