Enhances Ancillary Coverage

UnitedHealthcare enhances the dental plans in Dental Simplified 2.0, relaxed underwriting guidelines, and adds an EAP benefit to Life/AD&D benefits as a pilot for effective dates January 1 - July 1, 2019.

Dental Plan Enhancements Include:

• Gold plans now offer $5000 calendar year maximum.
• Platinum and Silver plans upgrade out-of-network benefit to 90th UCR.
• Orthodontia is now available to groups with only 5 eligible employees.
• UCR plans with Endo/Perio in basic down to only 2 eligible employees.

EAP Program
EAP will be included at no cost with Life/AD&D benefits, in addition to the standard no-fee Beneficiary Services, Travel Assistant, Wealth Management, and Will and Trust benefits.

Leverage The Special Enrollment Period (SEP)

If you have clients that are unable to meet carrier participation requirements, have dual-carriers, or that don't meet employer premium contribution requirements, the small group SEP is a great solution.

By law, all carriers are required to offer the SEP one time per year with $0 contribution requirement and no minimum participation requirement for small groups. The application period runs November 15 - December 15, 2018 for coverage effective January 1, 2019.
