Medical Plan Updates
On and off-exchange plans have cost share changes which will impact the plan names for 2023.
The Bronze HMO 7000/70 for 2022 is only available on the Trio network. For 2023, the plan will be expanded and available on the Access+, Local Access+, and Trio network.
Effective January 1, 2023, the Trio ACO HMO network will expand to include additional parts of Monterey.
Specialty Plan Updates
8 new dental PPO plans will be added.
Teladoc
Blue Shield members have access to Teladoc’s national network of doctors 24/7/365 by phone or video.
Earn points for qualified Tandem PPO plan sales and additional points for dental, vision and/or life plans with the Renewal Rewards for Producers Program.
Groups written through Claremont are eligible for both programs.
For groups with 2 to 99 employees, the Delta Dental Small Business Program offers a wide variety of plans and options, all with comprehensive coverage and easy access to quality care and savings from their large networks. Here is what's new for 2023!
Reduced Participation Requirements
The employer-paid participation requirement for adult orthodontics has dropped from 25 to 5 employees.
New Dual Choice 4 Plan
Features the new Core 201 plan as the low plan and Advantage 200 as the high plan with limited maximum options.

Rates and Quoting
2023 plans and rates are available for quoting through PRISM, our free and easy online quoting system.
New business rates are guaranteed for a one-year contract period - effective dates from January 1 to December 1, 2023.
Beam has announced a two-year rate guarantee on new dental and vision business with 51-499 eligible employees – effective dates from October 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
In addition to dental plans with over 400,000 access points nationwide, Beam offers vision, life, disability, accident, and hospital indemnity coverage.
