Limited-Time Carrier Bonuses

Many carriers are offering a limited-time bonus for new group submissions. Earn extra income by placing your new groups before these broker bonuses end!

Blue Shield of CA

  • Earn a bonus for new dental, vision and life sales (employer-paid or voluntary).
  • $10 per net new member.
  • The program runs January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018, and starts again January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019.
  • Broker/agency must sell a minimum of two new dental, vision and/or life groups during the program to qualify.

Covered California for Small Business

  • The Covered California for Small Business (CCSB) Broker Bonus is for new groups with 6-100 enrolled employees and ranges from $1000 per group to $8000 per group.
  • Effective dates between February 1, 2019 – June 1, 2019.
  • Bonus is per group, based on the number of enrolled employees, with no maximum to the number of groups!
  • Groups with Kaiser membership also qualify for the Kaiser Bonus in addition to the CCSB bonus!
    • $30 per enrolled member for groups with 6-49 eligible employees.
    • $50 per enrolled member for groups with 50-99 eligible employees.

Medical Plans

  • The UnitedHealthcare bonus is for new groups with up to 100 eligible employees.
  • Effective dates between October 1, 2018 – January 1, 2019.
  • Sell a combined total of at least 25 enrolled employees to qualify.
    • $50 per enrolled employee, total of 25-49 enrolled employees.
    • $75 per enrolled employee, total of 50-99 enrolled employees.
    • $100 per enrolled employee, total of 100+ enrolled employees.

Specialty Plans

  • For brokers who sell at least 10 lines of new coverage and a minimum of $100,000 in annualized premiums.
  • Effective dates between January 2, 2018 – January 1, 2019
  • The bonus starts at 2% of premium.

Beam Dental

  • New Broker Bonus — brokers who sell their first Beam case earn a one-time 10% bonus on their first three new groups.
  • Effective dates between July 1, 2018– December 1, 2018.
  • The bonus is based on the average of the first three months premium, annualized.

Delta Dental

  • Delta’s bonus is for new groups with 10-99 enrolled employees.
  • Effective dates between November 1, 2018 – February 1, 2019.
  • $150 – $1500 based on group size.

  • Bundling Bonus – agents who sell new specialty lines with the same employer group or a new group with multi-line coverage. Learn more.
    – $500 bonus for dental + vision coverage.
    – $750 bonus for dental + vision + life coverage.
    – Effective dates through July 1, 2019.
  • 100+ Dental & Vision Bonus — Earn a bonus of up to 3% when you sell 100+ size dental and vision groups with January 1 through December 31, 2019, effective dates. Learn more.
    – Sell groups with 100 to 999 enrolled subscribers and earn 3% of the annualized premium.
    – Sell groups with 1,000 to 5,000 enrolled subscribers and earn 2% of the annualized premium.
  • Technology Bonus – earn a $250 bonus for the first case you submit using Humana’s Launch My Group OR through one of their system integrated partners: Benefitter, EaseCentral, or EasyAppsOnline. Best of all, when you place your new groups through Claremont, we can submit them via EaseCentral to help you earn this bonus (no need to have your own EaseCentral subscription). Learn more.
    – Effective dates between February 1, 2019 – July 31, 2019.


  • Brokers who sell at least $250,000 in new group premiums with three or more groups in a calendar year may be eligible for the broker bonus.
  • All effective dates are from January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018, or January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019.
  • Get the details:


  • Production Bonus and Persistency Bonus for 2018. Brokers who sell at least 15 new sale credits and/or $500,000 in new premium may qualify for the Production Bonus.
  • Groups placed between January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018.

Reliance Standard

  • The Premier Producer Program includes new sales and persistency incentives for 2018.
  • New sales with three-tier compensation levels for potential incentive compensation of 2.5% to 4.0%.
  • Renewal incentive is also available.
  • Agents must be appointed with RSL to participate and be eligible for the Premier Producer Program.
  • SmartChoice products do not qualify, only Core/True Group products.
