Step Up for Better Health
A walking program that pays, UnitedHealthcare’s Motion™ offers members a simple and powerful tool for better health and a way to lower out-of-pocket medical expenses.
Eligible plan participants can access wearable devices that may enable them to earn more than $1000 per plan year by meeting certain daily walking goals. Through the program, enrollees will later this year have the option to receive an Apple Watch (initially paying only the tax and shipping) and apply program earnings toward the full purchase price of the device.
Available to fully-insured and self-funded plans nationwide, the program may enable employees to earn up to $4 per day in financial incentives based on achieving “FIT*” goals.
*FIT stands for its ingredients: Frequency, Intensity, and Tenacity.
