Blue Shield - New Virtual Blue Plans

The Virtual Blue plans give members (small and large groups) the choice of virtual or in-person care. Virtual care includes $0 unlimited visits to primary care, behavioral health and specialty care through a new partnership with AccoladeCare. In-person care is available through the Tandem PPO network in California and via BlueCard when outside of the state.

The two Virtual Blue small group plans available in PRISM are the Virtual Blue Gold Tandem PPO 1500/45 and Virtual Blue Bronze Tandem PPO 7500/75. These can be identified by ‘Virtual Blue’ in the plan name.

When using the PRISM filter options for Narrow or Broad networks, select ‘All’ networks instead of ‘Broad’ only networks to generate plans for Blue Shield’s Virtual Blue, Trio HMO, and Tandem PPO plans.

Speaker: Craig Gussin, CLU, DIF, Auerbach & Gussin Insurance and Financial Services, Inc.

This course will explain what every health insurance agent needs to know to protect their business and their commissions now and in the future. Craig Gussin will discuss what health agents need to consider when they think about their health insurance practice. He will also talk about what you need to have in place when you consider retiring someday or what if the unexpected life occurrence happens before retirement (sudden death or a long-term disability).

Agents will learn how to set up an action plan now with their office employees or another licensed agent to make sure that commissions continue for years into the future when the agent is retired or if they pass away. Agents will also learn what they need to do now with insurance carriers they are licensed with to protect their commissions in the future. Real-life scenarios will be discussed, so health agents can understand the options available to them to protect their business. He will also discuss what is the best option on how to run your business (Corporation or Sole Proprietor) to protect your commissions now and in the future.
