Starting April 2023 and continuing for one year, Medi-Cal, in a process called continuous coverage unwinding (CCU), is re-assessing eligibility for 15 million Californians. For upwards of one million of them, it’s expected that enrolling in a group health plan will be their best, and maybe only option for affordable coverage.
