You Can Earn

• 10 points per enrolled new member in a small business dental plan.
• 5 points per enrolled new member in a small business vision plan.
• 5 points per enrolled new member in a small business life insurance plan.
• 40 points (2X bonus) per new member who enrolls in all three – dental, vision, and life.

California Broker Mega Bonus Program

2021 Broker Bonus Program

Broker Rewards Program

Sell Delta Dental’s small group plans, including plans from their new Small Business Program portfolio and qualify for the retention and new sales bonuses. Effective dates from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 are eligible.

Retention Sales Bonus
Retain at least 90% of your book of business through 2021 and earn a bonus on your existing business and qualify for new sales rewards. The more you retain, the more you earn.

• 3% bonus when you retain 90%-94.9% of your existing business.
• 4% bonus when you retain 95%-100% of your existing business.

New Sales Bonus
Once you’ve met your retention goal, there are three levels of sales rewards. New sales bonuses are based on the number of new groups or total new premium received. And this rewards program is in addition to your existing standard small business commission.

• Level 1: 3% bonus – 5 new groups or $150,000-$499,999 new premium.
• Level 2: 4% bonus – 15 new groups or $500,000-$999,999 new premium.
• Level 3: 5% bonus – 25 new groups or $1,000,000+ new premium.

Welcome Back Specialty Bonus

Earn up to $750 when you sell your first dental and/or vision case if you haven’t written a case with Humana in the last 12 months. Groups must be 5+ enrolled. Bundling Bonus – Sell a Bundle, Earn a Bundle!

To earn a bonus, sell new specialty lines of coverage with the same employer group and initial effective dates of coverage between August 1 and December 31, 2021.

Place stand-alone specialty lines of coverage or add specialty lines of coverage to a new or existing Humana group medical customer and earn:

• Groups with 5-99 eligible enrolled employees (must be at least 5 enrolled):
  – $500 bonus when you sell dental and vision coverage.
  – $1,000 bonus when you sell dental, vision, and life coverage.
• Groups with 100+ eligible enrolled employees:
  – $1,000 for dental and vision coverage.

Specialty lines of coverage include dental (including voluntary dental), vision (including voluntary vision), life, and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D). Expires December 31, 2021. To learn more, download the Bundling Bonus flyer.

Specialty Growth Bonus

Earn an initial bonus of up to 5% as a percentage of paid compensable premium and a Specialty Net Growth Factor of up to 140% from a producer’s net gain or loss of enrolled employees.

Leaders Club Program 2021

Earn Leaders Club points through new medical and qualifying specialty plan sales or Go365 results to qualify for awards including a trip to Banff National Park in Canada for the Leaders Club 2022 event. Multi-Product Advantage

Earn 1.5% additional broker compensation when selling dental plus two coverages.
How it works:

• Step 1: sell a dental plan and at least two new coverages from two or more different product groups.
• Step 2: verify qualifying criteria and ensure that each case has dental coverage, 10-99 eligible lives, and 10+ lives enrolled in each product. All coverages must be sold and implemented at the same time.
• Step 3: earn an additional one-time payment of 1.5% of the annualized premium for each product sold.

2021 Bonus Programs

Production Bonus
The more you sell, the higher the bonus factor. Whether you sell several smaller cases or just a few larger cases, you can qualify for a production bonus based on new sale credits for each of these qualifying coverages or services.

Persistency Bonus
The more premium you retain the higher the bonus factor.

Qualifying For The Production and Persistency Bonus Programs

Earn one new sale credit for each of these qualifying coverages or services:

• Voluntary or non-voluntary dental, STD, LTD, life or vision.
• Employer-sponsored individual disability insurance.
• eBenefits Edge Total Management (Total Management) services sold.

How It Works

Delta Dental New Small Business Program and Updates

Delta Dental has announced a new easy-to-sell small business program for 2021 effective dates. Included are new plan names and designs, and optional coverage features. Below is an overview of the new program as well as 2021 PPO plan and underwriting updates.

New 2021 Small Business Program

Three plan levels:

• Deluxe: extensive benefits with the lowest out-of-pocket costs and more options for employees.
• Advantage: the most popular plan designs featuring increased choice and flexibility.
• Core: quality care at a lower cost.

All plans include low- or no-cost preventive care and comprehensive coverage, including implant coverage, white fillings on all teeth, and no missing tooth exclusions (for teeth lost prior to this coverage).

Plus, employers can stretch their budget by offering a new dual choice plan and Core buy-up option:

• Dual Choice 1: Build Your Own Plan: Choose any one PPO plan and any one DeltaCare USA plan.
• Dual Choice 2: Matching Premiums: Offer two same-priced plans with differing coverage, so employees can decide what works best for them: a PPO plan with higher coverage (100/100/60)  or a PPO Plus Premier plan (100/80/50) with greater dentist choice.
• Dual Choice 3: Differing Premiums: Offer both a high (PPO Plus Premier 100/90/60) and a low (PPO Plus Premier 100/80/50) PPO plan with different prices and coverage amounts, so employees can decide what works best for them: more coverage at a higher price or less coverage for a lower price.
• Core/Buy-up: Clients can control costs with a set contribution (Core 100/50/50), while giving employees the option to purchase more coverage (Buy-up 100/80/60).

2021 Plan Updates

Enhanced PPO plans for 2021 offer:

• Increased annual maximums up to $3,000.
• Expanded access to orthodontics.
• White resin fillings on all teeth.
• Expanded voluntary choice options.
• Expanded plan choices for groups of 2-4.
• Dual choice and Core/buy-up plans.
• SmileWay® Wellness Benefits are available for all enrollees with qualifying conditions.

A new lower-cost DeltaCare USA plan (17B) has also been added.

By pairing a Delta Dental plan and a VSP vision plan, you can offer two top benefits brands in one convenient package. Delta now has three vision plans to choose from starting January 1, 2021.

VSP Advantage

2021 Underwriting Updates

• Expanded contribution options are available.
• Changes to PPO-eligible enrollee contribution and participation:
  • 100% employer contribution, 100% eligible enrollee participation.
  • 75%-99.9% employer contribution, 75% eligible enrollee participation.
  • 50%-74.9% employer contribution, 50% eligible enrollee participation.
• Employers contributing between 50% and 74.9% can now choose from Delta Dental’s employer-paid plans.
• In place of a state wage report, an employer can provide a complete census of eligible employees.

Delta Dental Rate Pass and Premium Holiday

To help small business program customers with financial support during COVID-19, Delta has announced the following two programs:

Two-Year Rate Pass
All groups renewing from August 2020 through July 2021 will receive a two-year rate pass.

One-Month Premium Holiday
In addition, all plans will receive a one-month premium holiday for September 2020. Qualifying groups must be effective on or before July 2020.

Broker commission payments will not be impacted.

Additional Programs

• Delta has launched a provider loan program to ensure continued operations for providers.
• The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation has provided grants to front-line organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
