Humana Bundling Bonus Extended to January 2024 Effective Dates

Dental Bundling Bonus

Humana has extended its Dental Bundling Bonus to include initial effective dates of coverage through January 31, 2024. To earn a bonus, sell a new Humana dental plan alongside at least one additional specialty line of coverage with the same employer group.

Groups with 5-49 eligible enrolled employees (must be at least 5 enrolled):
– $200 bonus for dental + $100 for vision + $100 for life + $300 for disability coverage.
Groups with 50+ eligible enrolled employees:
– $300 bonus for dental + $200 for vision + $100 for life + $500 for disability coverage.

New business points increased from .5 to 1 point per line of coverage for <10 enrolled employees.
Bonus percentage increased from 4% to 5% for plans with <25 insured lives for producers that achieve “Peak” persistency and are at the “Elite” compensation level.

Sell a Bundle, Earn a Bundle!

To earn a bonus, sell a new Humana dental line of coverage with at least one additional specialty line of coverage with the same employer group and the initial effective date of coverage between July 1 and December 1, 2023.

Groups with 5-49 eligible enrolled employees (must be at least 5 enrolled):
– $200 bonus for dental + $100 for vision + $100 for life + $300 for disability coverage.
Groups with 50+ eligible enrolled employees:
– $300 bonus for dental +$200 for vision + $100 for life + $500 for disability coverage.

Humana – Walmart and Sam’s Club Added to Vision Network

With an expansive network, Humana Vision offers a choice of more than 135,000 provider locations nationwide, including independent providers, retail, and online options (LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical, Ray-Ban, Glasses.com, and ContactsDirect.com).

Starting January 1, 2023, Humana’s network will include Walmart® and Sam’s Club™ vision and optical centers. Current and new Humana Vision members can visit Walmart and Sam’s Club vision and optical centers for eyeglass frames, lenses, and contact lenses as part of their in-network vision benefits. Learn more.

Please note: some optometrists with Walmart and Sam’s Club are independent contractors and may not participate in the Humana Vision network for eye care services like exams. Members can use Humana’s “Find an Eye Doctor” tool or call the provider in advance to confirm if the provider is in network.

To earn a bonus, sell new specialty lines of coverage with the same employer group and initial effective date of coverage between August 1 and December 31, 2022.

Available with April 1, 2022 effective dates, Humana has introduced two new plan options to their dental portfolio: Dental PPO 2 and Dental Traditional Preferred (TRP) 2.

With these new plans, your employer clients have additional budget-friendly dental options and an easy way to offer employees dental coverage for the first time. Both plans are available as employer-sponsored or voluntary. A range of annual maximums are available starting from $500 to unlimited, providing great flexibility for employers.
